It is useful in conditions of great prostration and weakness from exhausting discharges and from loss of vital fluids. Chronic?joint affections with nodosities, flatulence and inflammation of kidneys with marked periodicity of all the symptoms.

Stomach: Weak digestion with tenderness and coldness of abdomen and vomiting of undigested food. Heaviness and fullness after eating with bland taste in the mouth. Pain in the lower abdomen with excessive flatulence and regurgitation of bitter fluid and frequent hiccoughs.

Abdomen: Flatulent dyspepsia and colic which is better from bending double. Exceesive flatulence and tightness of abdomen. Inflammation of spleen and liver with jaundice. Pain in the liver region from gallstones.

Stool: Difficulty in passing stools though soft with much flatus. Painless diarrhea with undigested, frothy, yellow stools at night, after meals, during hot weather, from fruit, milk and beer followed by extreme weakness.

Female: Too profuse and too early menses with dark clots and abdominal distention. Heaviness in the pelvis with bloody leucorrhea. Increased sexual desire during menses.

Fever: Marked periodicity with intermittent paroxysms which return every week. Chills commences in the breast generally in forenoon with thirst for little water. Profuse perspiration at night with great exhaustion. Symptoms of hay fever with pain in the temples.

Modalities: Worse from draught of air, loss of vital fluids, at night, after eating and bending over. Better from bending double, hard pressure, open air and warmth.

In cases requiring it the stool is frequent,  pale, loose and copious. It has a very bad smell. Fetid gas may pass along with the stool. Stool may sometimes be frothy  and can have undigested food in it.

Gas/Flatulence and loose stool: China works very well in cases of abdomen pain that arises from obstructed gas. Stool is attended with excessive gas and abdomen is distended. There is rumbling and moving of much gas in the abdomen that doesn’t pass either upwards or downwards.

Excessive thinning of legs and arms. Children needing it have pale faces that look sickly with bluish rings around the eyes. Lips appear dry, blackish

Vision loss: It is indicated when there is marked weakness of vision for distant objects
