Between 1930 and 1936 He devoted his whole time to the search for harmless remedies amongst the wildflowers of the countryside. Chestnut Bud Bach Flower Remedy: Descriptive Materia Medica

This is the remedy for those who tend to make the same mistakes again and again. Either through lack of observation and indifference, or from hurry and inattention they do not learn the lesson such mistakes should give them, and so fall into the same errors or experience the same difficulties repeatedly until they gain wisdom and know-how to deal successfully with future occurrences of a like nature.

Unlike the Honeysuckle people who hold on to past memories, the Chestnutbud folk tend to forget them. This is a good thing, but, not having grasped the lesson of these forgotten mistakes they have no guide to help them in the present.

The sensitive aspect of this remedy is shown by those who are keenly observant of all happenings, who keep their attention on the present and gain knowledge and wisdom from each experience by watching and learning from the actions of others.

"This remedy is to help us take full advantage of our daily experiences, and to see ourselves and our mistakes as others do" - Edward Bach.
