Also known as: Garden heliotrope, common valerian or all-heal, Valerina. This plant belongs to the family valerianaceae.
It is indicated remedy for hysteria, nervous affections, when apparently well chosen remedies fail. Hysterical spasms and affections generally. Hysterical flatulency.
Causes & Symptoms for Valeriana Officinalis
- It is indicated in the incurable cases of moral disturbances, passing from one extreme of emotion to another, from the highest joy to the deepest grief.
- Valerian is useful in the recovery of patients after nervous complaints.
- Spasms in abdomen, generally in evening, in bed, or after dinner.
- Eruption of small, hard nodosities on chest.
- It is useful in worm infection specially the ascarides in the rectum

Mind: Changeable disposition. Feels light, as if floating in air. Over sensitiveness. Hallucinations at night. Irritable. Tremulous.
Head: Pressure in forehead. Sensation of great coldness. Feeling of intoxication.
Ears: Earache from exposure to draughts and cold. Nervous noises.
Throat: Pharynx feels constricted. Sensation as if a thread were hanging down throat. Nausea felt in throat.
