This book is a very informative and instructive work that eases the difficult task of understanding the tumors of the breast in order to treat them homeopathically. The author has given his experience of treating tumors in various parts of the body with homeopathic medicines with great success. He felt it to be his imperative duty to bring his views and experiences prominently to the front for the benefit of common mankind. The book also contains some of his most difficult case histories that are very valuable.

Dr James Compton Burnett was born on July 10, 1840, and died on April 2, 1901. He studied Medicine in Vienna and received his M.D. from Glasgow in 1872. As a brilliant anatomist & pathologist, his dedication to the principles that Hahnemann set forth, has been seen in all of his writings. He was one of the groups menor (Burnett, Cooper, and J. H Clarke) that met regularly to discuss homeopathy & his observations, which is well noted in Clarke's three Volume Dictionary of Materia Medica. Burnett was one of the first to speak about vaccination triggering illness. Along with other nosodes, he introduced the remedy Bacillinum. His famous publications were "Gout & its Cure", "Curability of Cataract with Medicine", "Vaccinosis", etc.
