Lycopodium Clavatum – A Deep-Acting Constitutional Remedy
Key Indications:
Bloating, liver complaints, backache, joint pains, digestive disturbances, metabolic weakness.
Clinical Indications of Lycopodium Clavatum
Lycopodium clavatum is a powerful constitutional remedy, especially effective in complaints arising after fright, grief, anger, anxiety, vexation, or overexertion. It acts deeply on the digestive system, liver, kidneys, and metabolic functions, particularly where there is functional weakness rather than structural damage.
A striking feature of Lycopodium is its direction of symptoms:
-
Complaints predominantly appear on the right side
-
Symptoms often progress from right to left
-
Complaints tend to move from above downward
The Lycopodium constitution is marked by extreme sensitiveness. Patients are generally chilly, crave warmth, yet many complaints are paradoxically aggravated by heat or warmth.
