About Leptandra Homeopathic Mother Tincture (1X, Q)
Also called: Leptandra Virginica, Veronica Virginica
Leptandra Homeopathic Mother Tincture is prepared from the root of Leptandra Virginica, commonly known as Black Root.
Leptandra MT is primarily a liver and gallbladder remedy. It is indicated in conditions of jaundice, black tarry stools, and enfeebled portal circulation. It is also prescribed in malarial states and associated digestive disorders.
In herbal medicine, it has been traditionally used to address: flatulence, bloating, hemorrhoids, chronic constipation, and rectal prolapse. It is also considered beneficial for detoxification and stimulating bile production.
Historical Note: Among Native American communities of Missouri and Delaware, Leptandra was known as a strong purgative. In smaller doses, it was used as a laxative, detoxifier, and liver remedy, occasionally prescribed for skin problems caused by poor liver function.
