Excoriating discharges, Pulsations all over the body, Profuse bleeding from small wounds are characterestics of this remedy.

Prolonged hemorrhage from the passages; hemorrhage from the kidneys, from the eyes, the nose, the uterus is relieved with Kreosotum.

Rapid emaciation, with spongy, burning ulceration, pus acrid, ichorous, fetid and yellow.

The parts with which the discharge comes in contact itch and burn, while scratching does not relieve but inflames the parts.

Burning pains are a marked feature of Kreosotum.

Mind and Head

State of irritability, patient wants everything and is satisfied with nothing, weakness of memory, restlessness when seated.

Chronic headache accompanied with great drowsiness, the headaches sometimes commence on waking in morning.

Vertigo, which causes falling, sometimes in morning in open air is relieved with Kreosotum.

Headache caused by mental emotions. Soreness of scalp in being touched, falling off of hair, Pimples on forehead.

Eyes, ear, nose

The lachrymation is excoriating. It excoriates the margins of the lids and cheeks, and they become red and raw, the eyes smart and burn, Burning and corrosive tears.

Itching in ears,  shootings in ears, or cramp-like, pressive, and expansive pains with swelling of the cervical glands

Fluent coryza, Bad smell before nose indicates Kreosotum.

Mouth and Throat

The corners of the lips and mouth are red and raw indicates Kreosotum.

Infants have troubles at the time of teething,  dry-peeling lips are characteristic of Kreosotum

Gums painful, dark red or blue; teeth decay as soon as they come is relieved with this remedy.

Child that has a mouth full of decayed teeth, with spongy, painful gums, dentition, great restlessness, wants to be constantly in motion.

Scraping and roughness in throat with dryness and pain.

Stomach and abdomen

Burning pain in the stomach, Soon after eating, a sense of fullness and an increasing nausea, ending in vomiting of the undigested food,

coming up an hour or two after eating, There is aggravation from eating cold things and relief from warm diet indicates Kreosotum.

It relieves the burning and improves the digestion.

Retching, especially when fasting in morning,

Contractive pain in abdomen, even at night, towards morning indicates Kreosotum.

Stool and Anus

Kreosote has attacks of diarrhea and vomiting, hemorrhage from the bowels, bleeding from the mucous membranes

Great distension and trouble with the bowels, abdomen distended from flatus indicates Kreosotum.

Urinary complaints

Urine is passed during sleep, weakness of the bladder; inability to hold the urine is an indication of indicates Kreosotum.

Prostate and bladder irritation, during night frequently rises to pass a very little urine, can only urinate when lying.

Male complaints

Burning after coming in contact with the secretion of the vagina during coition.

Female complaints

Complaints after menstruation, of females at change of life, Menses regular but profuse and clotted.

smarting and burning about the vulva, mucous surfaces of the labia are red and raw, burning is relieved with Kreosotum.

The vagina burns during coition, and  bleeding after coition, Coitus followed by flow of blood the next day  is a keynote of Kreosotum.

At every menstrual flow complains of much swelling and rawness of the genitals.

Leucorrhoea putrid, with accompanying complaints, leucorrhea in general and all the symptoms are worse at the menstrual period.

About LM potency homeopathy medicines

In the sixth edition of ‘Organon’ Dr. Hahnemann had introduced a new system of dilution and potentization and called it “renewed dynamisation” with a diluting ratio of 1:50,000. It was named as 50 millesimal potency or LM potency by Dr. Pierre Schmidt. In some parts of the world, it is also called as Q potency. It soon got professional acceptance. As on date, it is recognized by different homoeopathic pharmacopoeias including American and Indian.

What are they and how are they denoted?

These homoeopathic potencies are prepared in the diluting scale of 1:50,000 and denoted as 0/1, 0/2, 0/3…..etc. They are generally used up to 0/30.

Perceived advantages

• Highest development of power at each potency level.
• Mildest reaction – no medicinal aggravation.
• Frequent repetition is permitted; every hour or oftener in urgent cases.
• Quick cure in chronic cases where it can be given daily or oftener.
• 0/3 is more subtle than 30C or 200C and the 0/30 is sharper than CM as believed by many classical homoeopaths.

LM potency dosage: Generally LM potencies are administered as follows:

1. Take a 4oz (120ml) to 6oz (180ml) clean glass bottle. Fill it 3/4th with water. Take 1or 2 globules of the desired potency (often starting at LM 0/1) and place it into the bottle.
2. Succuss the bottle just prior to ingestion 1 to 12 times depending on the sensitivity of the patient. This slightly raises the potency and activates the remedy.
3. Take 1, or more teaspoons of the medicinal solution and place it into 8 to 10 tablespoons of water in a dilution glass and stir it. Most cases are started with 1 teaspoon and the amount is increased only if necessary. In children the amount should be 1/2 teaspoon. Infants may only need 1/4 of a teaspoon.

The dosage of the medicinal solution can be carefully adjusted to suit the sensitivity of the individual’s constitution
