Ficus indica Mother Tincture  possesses a great anti-haemorrhagic properties. It is used in case of haemorrhage from throat or mouth due to any cause when the colour of blood is pure red; haemorrhage before any evacuation; bloody leucorrhoea , Bleeding Piles etc. Its milky juice is applied externally for pain, in rheumatism and lumbago. It is antibacterial, relaxant and spasmodic on smooth muscles and haemostatic.

The flowers are astringent and are used to reduce bleeding and treat problems of the gastro-intestinal tract, especially diarrhoea, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome.
