Anovulation  Causes: 

Women typically ovulate each month, but when anovulation occurs, the ovaries do not release an egg due to underlying following causes

• Poly cystic ovarian syndrome, PCOS
• Obesity
• Too low body weight
• Hyper exercise (extreme sports)
• High levels of prolactin (Hyperprolactinemia or elevayed hormones of pitituary gland)
• Premature ovarian failure
• Perimenopause, or low ovarian reserves
• Extremely high levels of stress
• Thyroid dysfunction, either hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism
