Allen A12 Eye Care Oral Drops are indicated for chronic conjunctivitis, eye strain, diplopia, and incipient cataracts.

Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the thin, transparent membrane covering the white part of the eye and lining the inner surface of the eyelids. Conjunctivitis can be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergies, or irritants.

Types of Conjunctivitis

• Viral Conjunctivitis: The most common type, caused by viral infections such as adenovirus. It is highly contagious, causing redness, itching, watery discharge, and light sensitivity.
• Bacterial Conjunctivitis: Caused by bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pneumoniae. Symptoms include redness, itching, thick yellow or green discharge, crusting of the eyelids, and swollen lymph nodes.
