Calyx five toothed. Corolled papilionaceous. Stamens 10, nine united and one free. Fruits spirally twised with 2-3 turns.It contains Vitamins A & E, amylase, emulsion, invertase, pectinase, saponins, and alkaloids, I-stachydrine, ketones (myristone,alfafone) and beta-methyl glucoside.
