Aegle folia is also known as Bill (bael) Patra, a tree native to the Indian subcontinent and considered a sacred tree by Hindus. Two drugs are made from this plant namely Aegle folia from leaves and Aegle marmelos from the pulp of the fruits. They are covered by the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India.
