Cina is prepared from the unexpanded flower-heads of plant Cina maritima also known as Artemisia maritima.
Cina is one of the chief remedies for worm infestations. It is also indicated in intestinal irritation, epilepsy, spasms, convulsions, irregular appetite, deranged bowels, etc. Depending upon the individualization of the case, it is also used for other problems by homeopathic physicians.
It is essentially a children’s remedy and is indicated in intestinal irritation, worm infestation and accompanying complaints. Marked mental irritability, constantly changing appetite, grinding of teeth, and convulsions, with screaming and violent jerking of the hands and feet.

Stomach: Variable appetite with desire for sweets and different things. Feels hungry immediately after eating with digging, gnawing sensation with pain in the epigastric region. Vomiting and diarrhea immediately after eating and drinking with a clean tongue. Colicky twisting pain around the umbilicus with flatulence of abdomen.
Stool: Diarrhea from intestinal irritation with slimy stools, preceded by colicky pains. Itching of anus from worm infestation.
Extremities: Convulsions with twitching and jerking of limbs with trembling. Sudden shock like pains and jerking of fingers. Child throws arms from side to side and stretches the feet at night from spasmodic convulsions. Restless legs at night.
