This remedy has been found of useful as laxative, in liver diseases and intestinal ulceration. Externally considered to be a good application for gout, rheumatism, snake bites, ringworm.

It is indicated in cases of irritation and inflammation of intestinal mucosa, liver diseases and joint pains. It is useful in various conditions like fever, skin diseases such as ringworm, eczematous eruptions, dry, scaly eruptions with exfoliation of skin, redness and intense itching. Glandular affections especially in the cervical region, worm infestations, indigestion with excessive flatulence, chronic constipation and urinary infections.
