Homeopathy offers a gentle, non-toxic approach to managing nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, commonly referred to as morning sickness. The remedies listed below are among the most frequently used and have shown positive response in clinical experience.

However, CCRH strongly advises that these medicines should be taken under the supervision of a qualified homeopathic doctor, as individual symptoms and case history play a vital role in selecting the appropriate remedy.

Symphoricarpus Racemosa 30 – Motion Sensitive Persistent Vomiting

  • Persistent vomiting
  • Nausea worse from any motion, better while lying on back
  • Averse to all foods
  • Rising of acidic fluid in mouth and bitter taste of mouth

Ipecacuanha 30 – Nausea, Saliva, No Thirst

  • Constant nausea and vomiting
  • Increased salivation with clean tongue

  2. Medicine to be taken – 3 globules of size 40 every 3 hours, dry on the tongue or in plain drinking water.
  3. Medicine should be taken after cleaning the mouth and preferably on an empty stomach.
  4. If improvement occurs within 24 hours, then medicine should be stopped.
  5. While taking the medicine, if the patient does not get any relief within 24 hours or becomes worse at any time, then consult the nearest homoeopathic doctor.
  6. Medicines must be kept away from strong smelling substances like camphor, menthol etc.
  7. Medicines should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct exposure to sunlight.
  8. Medicines should be kept away from the reach of children.
